Diesel Jeans Brings Facebook into the Fitting Room

I LOVE social media and I love it more when popular brands try
something new in order to cause a stir in the social media space.
Let's point our attention this week to Diesel Jeans as they have
brought Facebook to the point of sale, so to speak. The Diesel Cam
allows users at the Diesel store to snap photos of themselves trying
on new gear and then post it right to their Facebook page. It's a
pretty cool idea and all photos come with Diesel branding. It's a cool
way for consumers to get instant feedback from their friends on
fashion choices. And it's a GREAt way for Diesel to promote and extend
their brand in the social media space.

@TheLiteChoice Uses Social Media to Attract Summer Consumers

100media_imag0092

I spotted this flier in the window of The Lite Choice today while
walking around 14th st. If your not familiar with this brand it's a
YUMMY and lite soft serve ice cream that has a small amount of
calories. So if your trying to lose weight for the summer this should
be your spot. Anyway if you join the brand on Twitter at
@TheLiteChoice you can get discount codes which will give you special
offers. From looking at their Twitter stream you can see that the
brand is heavily involved in social media. Some of the conversations
flowing through the stream might be a bit too marketing focused but I
think they are off to a good start. I'd like to see @TheLiteChoice
develop their own authentic voice outside of promo codes but I love
what they are trying to do.

Social Media Podium @ Johnnie Walker event

Img00181

The Wine and Spirits industry has been breaking down a lot of social
media doors in this heavily regulated industry. Last night at the
Johnnie Walker event at the Skylight SoHo (275 Hudson St.) included a
social media podium that encouraged guest to Tweet, Check-in via
Foursquare, and follow the brand on Facebook. But doing a quick scan
of the event via Twitter about 50 or so tweets around the event where
posted using the #johnniewalkertasting hashtag and 8 people check-in
via FourSquare for the event.

So looks like the wine and spirits brand are moving in the right
direction and starting to use social media more and more for the
promotion of their brand.

What's your favorite wine and spirits brand using social media?
